Jake Lortsher – Program Director

Jake has worked in adolescent treatment since 2015. This has given him experience and allowed him to identify the passion that he has of creating and managing therapeutic programming. He has worked as a front-line staff and gained invaluable experience understanding the inner details that make a successful residential department. Finding success in his different roles, Jake was able to work up to leadership positions. These positions continued to help him grow as a leader and allowed him to find ways to improve the facilities he has worked for. He has taken on the task in past positions to develop, train and oversee sensory activities to help clients that struggled with anxiety and had difficulty coping with their emotions. In addition, he developed and implemented a successful training plan for staff to understand

de-escalation skills, staffing patterns and key communication skills to avoid unsafe incidents. Jake is always looking at new and innovative ways to work with and train staff. He fits the Kaizen team in so many ways as he in constantly looking at ways to improve the process. Jake has a Masters Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology, where he learned how to train staff members, manage programs, and create positive change. He focuses on supporting students and builds employees to provide the best quality of care possible at Kaizen.

Jake enjoys being with his family, spending time outdoors, finding new music, and binging Marvel movies!
