Alissa brings vibrant energy, genuine compassion, and a strong sense of purpose to her role at Kaizen Academy. As the leader of our Experiential Therapy activities, she creates intentional, hands-on therapeutic experiences that foster connection, insight, and meaningful change. Whether guiding outdoor activities, facilitating group processes, or creating opportunities for real-time reflection, Alissa helps students engage in the kind of lived experiences where growth becomes tangible.

Alissa’s diverse professional background includes working with at-risk youth, individuals recovering from eating disorders and substance use, and individuals with special needs. These experiences have shaped her deep commitment to helping others reconnect with their sense of identity and personal worth. Her approach is grounded in empathy, clear and consistent boundaries, relational engagement, and evidence-based experiential interventions.

At Kaizen Academy, experiential therapy is a core component of treatment, designed to help students move beyond insight alone and into active practice of new skills. Through carefully structured experiences, students are able to explore patterns, build trust, increase emotional awareness, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Alissa facilitates these experiences with intention, helping students process their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in real time and apply those insights to their daily lives.

Alissa is particularly passionate about helping individuals develop self-compassion and resilience. She supports students in rebuilding trust in themselves, taking ownership of their experiences, cultivating healthy relationships, and learning to live with greater intention, self-respect, and emotional strength.
