They Will Have A Stronger Sense Of Self

Our goal at Kaizen Academy is to help your son move from self-destruction to self-esteem. When your son has a stronger sense of self and understands their self worth, he can begin working toward healing and hope. Many young men show up at our center struggling with shame and a destructive self-concept. Our goal is to help them see past that and to start working on building a better understanding of their self-worth.

After our boys residential treatment program, you son will have a newfound sense of self, which will not only help them see their own worth, but also allow them to recognize the value in others.

Be Able To Build And Maintain Healthy Relationships

Adolescent boys with sexual behavior problems often don’t fully understand what normal and healthy relationships look like or are uncertain how to maintain them. Sometimes, they also don’t fully understand the relational consequences of their actions. While these are common things we see in the boys at our center, we also see that each of them want to feel deeply loved and valued. Because of this, we make it a priority at our residential treatment center to help each young man learn how to foster and maintain healthy relationships.

When your son returns home, you will notice that they are able to interact with others in a healthier way. This includes better communication, showing empathy, problem-solving, and having better teamwork skills.

Develop Transferable Skills

While we want to ensure that each of the boys at our center does well throughout our program, our overall goal is to help to do well outside of our center. That is why we make it a priority to help teach them transferable skills that can help improve their lives outside of Kaizen Academy. Some of the skills we work to teach in a way that will translate to the outside world include healthy coping strategies, open and respectful communication methods, problem-solving skills, and more. We also incorporate healthy recreational skills that can help engage young men and provide them with healthy outlets and a new coping mechanism.

After your son’s time at our boys residential treatment center, you will notice an improvement in a variety of skills, new methods of coping, and an interest in different healthy recreational activities that they can use as an outlet.

Reintegrate Into The Community

One of our main goals is to help these young men return home and become productive members of their communities. We want each of the boys who leave our center to positively contribute to the well-being of others and society. To do this, we include weekly community activities, service projects, extended visits with parents, home visits, and more. We use transition plans to help make the move from our boys treatment center back into the home and community easier.

As your son transitions back into your home, you will be able to help with this transition plan with them to ensure an easy and healthy reintegration into the community.

At Kaizen Academy in Provo, we work hard to ensure that life after our residential treatment center is better, healthier, and hopeful for both the young men we treat and their families.
